Ange Postecoglou makes decision on Tottenham future after post-Man City rant

Despite recent disappointing results and the outburst following the defeat to Manchester City, Ange Postecoglou will continue at Tottenham.

While the former Celtic boss had an exceptional start to life at the North London club, things have gone downhill in recent weeks. Postecoglou was left frustrated following their defeat against Pep Guardiola’s team and his public outburst fuelled speculations surrounding his future.

According to a report from Football Insider, the Australian manager has no intentions of parting ways with Spurs just yet.

Tottenham were in contention for a top-four finish but four defeats in their last five league games have derailed their season. The 2-0 loss at the hands of Manchester City in their last outing meant that they would miss out on Champions League qualification.

With one game left in the league now, Spurs will be fighting to ensure they do not lose out on a fifth-place finish.

The defeat to City left the Australian manager frustrated. While the fans celebrated the result as it hurt Arsenal’s chances of winning the league, frustration from Postecoglou boiled over and it led to a public rant.

It was even compared to Antonio Conte’s public outburst before he parted ways with the club.

While conflicting reports have emerged about the future of the 58-year-old at Tottenham following the rant, the former Celtic manager plans to continue. He will honour his long-term commitment to the club and is looking for ways to take them to the next level.

Spurs have clearly shown improvement under him this season, but they will need more quality and belief in order to push for trophies and return to the Champions League next season.
